Italiaans restaurant

Il Peperoncino Delft

Our story

We are Michele and Nicola, two brothers from Calabria in the south of Italy. We grew up with the aromas from our mother’s kitchen and the pure ingredients from our region, like the olive oil our father still produces today. Cooking with love and patience is in our blood.

When we moved to the Netherlands, we knew we wanted to create a place where we could cook the way we grew up eating. A place where people could experience the flavours of southern Italy and the way we enjoy food at home.
In Delft, we found that place. By the water, we opened Il Peperoncino: a restaurant where we share our roots, energy, and love for food with everyone who joins us at the table.

If you see us working together, you’ll notice it right away: we still speak fast Italian to each other. That’s who we are, two real Italians doing what we love most. And a fun detail: the pepper in our logo has the shape of our island in Calabria, a small piece of home we always carry with us.
